Are we ready to be in business with God? How can we, as Christians and as business leaders, live in God’s presence ourselves and bring others into his presence? During this retreat we will reflect on these questions and we will have time for worship, teaching, reflection, and conversation as we journey, asking our Lord to refresh us and recommission us to take hold of all that he has called us to do.

Location: Pałac Mała Wieś, close to Warsaw, Poland.

Sit, Walk, Stand

Intro on the theme
In his book “Hearing God”, Dallas Willard asks some soul-searching questions without accusation or judgement:

“Are we ready to be in business with God? What am I doing in life that would make speaking to me a reasonable thing for him to do? Are we in business together in life? Or am I in business just for myself, trying to “use a little God” to advance my projects?” When our lives are devoted to the will of God, he has reason to speak to us.”

Through reflection on Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and the Book of Psalms, we will explore these questions that Dallas Willard poses. ‘How can we, as Christians and as business leaders, live in God’s presence ourselves and bring others into his presence?’ We will have time for worship, teaching, reflection and conversation as we journey through the retreat, asking our Lord to refresh us and recommission us to take hold of all that he has called us to do.

The title “Sit, Walk Stand” we have chosen draws its inspiration from the classic book by the Chinese Bible teacher Watchman Nee. His book is one of the most profound and timeless writings on discipleship that has been written.

Program

Before we start our spiritual journey, we will have a reception to meet with friends at 17.00h. On Friday and Saturday morning we will dig deeper and try to understand God’s voice for our life. Saturday afternoon and evening our Polish friends will offer us a program that will give us an insight in their spiritual and business life, as well as in their culture.
Sunday we will wrap up and prepare for departure after our morning session and celebrating the Lords supper. Departure time is at noon.
