Janos IllessyAbout Janos Illéssy (Hungary), Member of the Board of Europartners, Chairman

Janos has been a full time business executive in the area of finance and worked as CFO for some listed Hungarian companies as well as a bank. Currently he is the chairman of the audit committee of a major Hungarian telecom provider. He has also been teaching corporate finance in various local and international university MBA programs. Besides, Janos does financial consulting for small and medium size businesses.

Janos served as the President of the Christian Businessmen Committee in Hungary, or KEVE Tarsasag. While he stepped down after nine years as the president to give way to new leaders, he is still deeply committed: He leads KEVE’s Compass - Finances God's Way ministry and is a trained moderator of The Trinity Forum (a.k.a. The Renaissance Forum). Janos also serves as a lay preacher and elder in his congregation. He is a member of the steering committee of the Hungarian Evangelical Forum, a local offspring of the European Leadership Forum.

Janos is truly convinced that the Bible has many deep messages for business people: Among other things, it is a timeless and most relevant business book too. He knows no higher value than Jesus, therefore is convinced that non-Christian leaders need to know Him, while Christian leaders have to apply their faith in the marketplace faithfully and transparently.

Janos is married to Orsi; they have 3 children and live close to Budapest, Hungary.
